SideHatch is a family business with many years experience of water activities, particularly inland waterways and sailing both here and abroad.

I live and work on the Scottish Lowland Canal and use the system daily. Prior to this I spent a number of years further south, living on the English canal and river systems. As a RYA Inland Waterway Helmsman instructor I teach boat handling skills from my training boat and conduct CEVNI examinations as required if you wish to take your boat into the European canal system.

This exposure to daily living afloat means we understand your requirements and difficulties. For example, if your water pump fails you “need a replacement yesterday” while you may need a mooring rope today or perhaps be planning for next season.
